I have lived in the Atlanta area since my date of birth, May 17, 1937. I graduated from Tucker High School in 1955, Davidson College in 1959 and Emory University Law School in 1964. I was an attorney with the Estate and Gift Tax Division of the Internal Revenue Service from 1964 to 1967 after which I began my law practice. I focus on the preparation of Wills, estate planning and estate administration. I am a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. My wife, Kemie Richards Nix, and I have been married since 1961 and we live in Peachtree City where our daughter, Mary, son-in-law and two granddaughters also live. Our son, John A. Nix, Jr. lives and works in Evanston, Illinois. We are long time members of Central Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.
